The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at The Citadel invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Minimum qualifications for the position include a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or Engineering Education. A preference will be given to candidates with a geotechnical background and an undergraduate degree from an ABET accredited program. The successful candidate will have demonstrated a potential and interest in undergraduate instruction, a strong potential for and commitment to student advising, and commitment to continuous professional development in both civil engineering and engineering education. Professional registration, or potential and strong commitment towards obtaining registration, should be demonstrated. Prior teaching and industrial experience are desirable. The applicant must be an effective communicator and be able to serve as a role model for students in the Corps of Cadets and in The Citadel Graduate College (CGC). Candidates must be either a U.S. citizen or have permanent residency status.
